Hobson Prior is seeking a Senior Research Scientist for a contract position in Gothenburg, Sweden. This role focuses on laboratory work in the field of biotechnology, particularly in transcriptomics and proteomics. You will be instrumental in supporting various research projects by utilizing advanced laboratory techniques and automation technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Work hands-on in the lab to generate data using transcriptomics and proteomics methods.
• Plan and execute projects that involve new technologies, enhancing efficiency with automated solutions.
• Develop and implement new automated processes to improve workflow.
• Maintain lab equipment and processes to ensure they run smoothly and efficiently.
• Support team members with experiments and promote teamwork.
• Follow safety and environmental regulations diligently.
• Collaborate with scientists from diverse backgrounds to ensure high-quality research.
• Create and validate new protocols to simplify research through automation.

Key Skills and Requirements:

• Advanced degree or equivalent experience in a scientific field.
• Strong knowledge of molecular biology and related techniques.
• Experience with Next Generation Sequencing or similar technologies.
• Familiarity with automation technologies in the lab.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Experience in regulated environments and data analysis is a plus.
