Hobson Prior are currently looking for a Senior Manager Upstream Process Development to join a brilliant pharmaceutical establishment on a permanent basis. Our client is focused on providing products and services used to care for chronically ill patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• For this position, you will plan, write and evaluate the pertinent CMC sectors of regulatory reports.
• You will serve as the technical upstream expert for regulatory consultations/engagements, which involves briefing book and report planning and query replies.
• Serve as a representative for the upstream team at cross-functional meetings both internally and externally.
• The ideal candidate will drive and assist with upstream troubleshooting and root-cause investigation actions at the CDMO throughout technology transfer, GMP manufacturing, PPQ and commercial campaigns.
• Evaluate and approve on external technical development protocols/reports.
• Plan as well as update process development history reports yearly.
• Any other assigned duties.

Requirements:

• Educated to a degree level in a life science or engineering discipline.
• Fluency in the English language with knowledge in French would be beneficial.
• At least 7 years of work experience within a biotech organisation with past involvement in upstream processing.
• Familiarity across upstream development spectrum which involves process development, scale up and tech transfer, large scale manufacturing, process characterisation and process validation.
• Willing to travel for business needs up to 20% of the time.
• Able to work within a matrix setting.
