Hobson Prior is seeking a Systems Automation Engineer with expertise in OSI PI for an exciting role at a cutting-edge biotechnology facility. You will be responsible for providing automation and data analysis support to ensure smooth operations across various site areas. This position requires full-time on-site presence to manage and optimize system performance.

Responsibilities:

• Support building management systems in manufacturing and lab areas.
• Troubleshoot and maintain the data historian system.
• Create and update training and operational documents.
• Serve as the expert for data historian systems, ensuring they work well with other systems.
• Design and test the OSI PI platform and related solutions.
• Work with different teams to support new equipment and data requirements.
• Report system status and performance to management.
• Oversee system upgrades and ensure they meet operational needs.
• Encourage automation to boost productivity and efficiency.

Key Skills and Requirements:

• Degree in Chemical Engineering, Applied Physics, or related fields.
• Proficiency with OSI PI and similar applications.
• Experience with IoT and cybersecurity.
• Knowledge of integrating process automation systems.
• Familiarity with industrial communication protocols.
• Experience in disaster recovery and regulatory requirements.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a focus on improvement.
• Ability to work well with others and communicate clearly.
• Full-time on-site availability.
• Fluent in English.
• Eligible to live and work in Ireland.
