Hobson Prior are currently seeking a committed Research Scientist with a specialization in in vitro cellular profiling. The perfect candidate will harness their proficiency in cell biology to carry out in vitro cellular assays, performing both standard profiling and customized mechanism of action studies across numerous drug discovery projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine profiling and tailored mechanism of action studies in cellular models.
• Generate routine screening data and bespoke in vitro pharmacology studies.
• Troubleshoot independently and report data according to agreed timelines.
• Work closely with project teams, specifically supporting the Cardiovascular, Renal and Metabolism as well as Respiratory & Immunology disease area organisations.

Requirements

• MSc or PhD within a relevant scientific discipline or demonstrated relevant experience in the Life Science industry.
• Proven track record of cellular biology techniques and pharmacology studies.
• Experience in compound profiling in a screening environment using microtiter plates and automation.
• Experience in the design, development and validation of biological test assays for compound profiling.
• Practical knowledge of high-resolution MS for targeted or global proteomics analysis and several technology platforms such as imaging, flow cytometry and LC-MS.
• Good knowledge of oral and written English.
