Hobson Prior is seeking a Procurement Manager to join the team in Gothenburg, Sweden. This role involves working with the Research & Development Procurement team to manage and develop strategies for purchasing in the R&D sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for building strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders, ensuring that procurement activities align with business goals and sustainability targets.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement plans for purchasing to improve processes and meet strategic goals.
• Create long-term plans for spending that focus on value, innovation, and cost savings.
• Manage relationships with suppliers and stakeholders to ensure alignment with business needs.
• Work with the Global Procurement Services team to guide purchasing decisions.
• Provide advice on contracts and agreements for products and services.
• Collaborate with global colleagues to set and achieve procurement strategies.

Key Skills and Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in procurement and category management, especially in R&D or Pharma.
• Strong project and change management skills.
• Good understanding of research environments.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to influence others.
• Ability to handle risk and uncertainty.
