Hobson Prior is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join a team dedicated to developing innovative technologies for a biotechnology company. This position is on a 6 months contract.

Responsibilities:

• Design and build advanced systems
• Create and present project concepts and proposals.
• Develop engineering projects from initial ideas to final products.
• Work with project managers to ensure timely completion of projects.
• Ensure all work complies with industry standards and safety regulations.
• Communicate project timelines effectively with team leads.
• Troubleshoot and repair system issues as needed.
• Provide technical support to various teams to align with project goals.
• Adapt to changing project needs and deliver solutions efficiently.

Key Skills and Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent skills.
• Experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in biotech/medical device/life sciences
• Familiarity with product design, prototyping, and manufacturing.
• Knowledge of health and safety standards in regulated environments.
• Proficiency in CAD software, especially SolidWorks.
• Ability to work independently and learn new technologies quickly.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Organizational skills to manage tasks and meet deadlines.
