Hobson Prior is seeking an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager for a full-time, on-site position. In this role, you will ensure that safety standards are met and maintained, supporting a culture of safety and compliance. You will lead the development and implementation of safety programs, conduct regular audits, and work with faculty and staff to maintain safe practices across the campus.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and oversee health and safety strategies and policies.
• Lead risk assessment programs and manage laboratory safety profiles.
• Implement training programs for laboratory and makerspace safety.
• Ensure compliance with fire safety regulations and manage related services.
• Serve as the main contact for regulatory bodies and manage incident reporting.
• Conduct safety audits and manage hazardous waste disposal.
• Provide support for occupational safety and maintain EHS records.
• Manage budgets and oversee third party consultants for specialized safety assessments.
• Stay updated on safety regulations and foster a positive work environment.

Key Skills and Requirements:

• Diploma in COSHH at QLS Level 4 and NEBOSH General Certificate.
• Experience in EHS compliance, preferably in higher education.
• Knowledge of laboratory safety and hazardous materials management.
• Strong communication skills and ability to adapt to changing environments.
• Excellent time and project management skills.
