Hobson Prior are currently looking for a Site Supply Chain Manager to join a brilliant biotech organisation on a permanent basis. Our client is focused on life-changing remedies within various therapeutic areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • In this role, you will be responsible for the management of Material Requirements Planning for site, ensuring material availability to support material flow manufacturing, packing, test and release requirements.
  • Responsible for customer service timely processing of incoming Sales Orders including assessment of approved stock suitable for an order, creation of Finished Goods Process Orders in accordance with the SAP core design and local ways of working.
  • Oversight of Production Scheduling and material flow priorities for batch release across the site to secure customer supply dates.
  • Product Lifecycle Management of all customer service requirements, leveraging IT planning management systems (SAP and Rapid Response) to control all SKU bill of materials and artwork labelling compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Inventory management of materials across the supply chain, ensuring adherence to policy regards Cycle, Safety and Strategic stock management.
  • Responsible for the Packaging Artwork lifecycle management from new product introduction, to on time implementation of artwork changes related to compliance, security, or design variations.
  • Responsible for aligning with Business Process Development and ensuring the effective management of the Site's Clinical Demand and non-commercial demand requirements.
  • Perform any project work or other activity as identified by the line manager.
  • Consolidation of Supply Chain Key Performance Indicators to drive team continuous improvements. Responsible for the supply chain budget and resources.
  • Risk management oversight of Supply Chain flow, through collaboration with Procurement colleagues for upstream Vendor supplies through site operations and despatch to customers per required Incoterms. Inform key stakeholders of potential risks and proposed mitigation activities.
  • To play an operational and integral part in site processes; Unplanned Events and other Investigations (OOS/Complaints), Corrective/Preventive Actions (CAPA), Change Control, and Internal Auditing, as required, ensuring that the processes within the Quality System supply chain sub-systems are compliant and operationally effective. To support site improvements including Quality systems improvements.
  • The role has global exposure, and the job holder will also form part of the extended Supply Chain Leadership Team and communicate on behalf of the site in matters relating to supply and demand with senior management both internally and externally to Partners.

Key Skills:

  • The candidate will be highly customer focussed and able to balance service with operational costs and constraints to meet customer commitments in the most effective and efficient way possible.
  • Must have the ability to pick up new processes rapidly, to absorb a large amount of data and complex situations, make valued judgements and process accurately and timely data.
  • The ideal candidate will have great decision making skills - good judgement is required daily to meet the ongoing operational requirements and balance the customer needs against the operational needs.
  • Excellent communication skills with all levels within the organisation including our companies across the Group. This includes the Affiliate Supply Chain Coordinators, Intercontinental & Europe Area Management Teams, as well as external customers and strategic partners, contractors and consultants directly working with this company.
  • SAP / Rapid Response system knowledge.
  • Operational Excellence: Incorporate operational excellence into normal ways of working. Demonstrate understanding of Lean Six Sigma (LSS) principles and commitment to successful implementation of projects using LSS Methodology.

Requirements:

  • Degree level candidate.
  • A minimum of 3 Years in a similar role/environment.
  • Above 5 years' experience in a customer facing environment would be ideal.
  • Supply Chain attainment, e.g. APICs, Chartered Institute of Logistics, Planning or Export Management.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt trained.
  • Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt trained or operational knowledge of Lean tools.
