Hobson Prior is seeking a Senior QC Technician to join a well known biotech on a contract basis. This role involves routine testing of products and incoming goods using various analytical and microbiological techniques. You will also support method validation, instrument maintenance, and ensure compliance with GMP standards.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine testing of samples for release, characterization, and monitoring.
• Assist in method transfer, validation, and qualification.
• Support instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Maintain an efficient GMP laboratory environment.
• Participate in laboratory investigations and continuous improvement projects.
• Manage the availability of critical reagents and disposables.
• Provide training to fellow QC technicians.
• Serve as a point of contact for lab practices and documentation.
• Write work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Key Skills & Requirements:

• Degree in life sciences, biotechnology, or a related field.
• Experience in a GMP QC setting in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry.
• Hands-on experience with flow cytometry, cell-based assays, and PCR.
• Knowledge of microbiological methods is a plus.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Self-driven with a focus on quality.
• Fluent in English.
