Hobson Prior is looking for a Senior Bioprocessing Scientist to join our client's team and drive innovation in cutting-edge biomanufacturing. In this role, you will be an expert in bioprocessing, focusing on the production of gene therapy products and plasmid DNA while ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a specific stage of the bioprocessing operation, ensuring all safety and quality standards are met.
• Supervise and support the team, stepping in for the Team Leader when necessary.
• Develop and oversee training programs to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Lead investigations into quality issues and implement solutions.
• Promote improvements to enhance efficiency and safety.
• Ensure cleanroom operations and materials are ready for production.

Key Skills and Requirements:

• Experience in biopharmaceutical manufacturing, particularly in gene therapy or related areas.
• Knowledge of bioprocessing techniques like fermentation and purification.
• Experience in handling quality issues and implementing corrective actions.
• Leadership skills to guide and mentor teams.
• Understanding of industry regulations and ability to work across different functions.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Educational background in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or similar fields.
