Hobson Prior is looking for a talented R&D Engineer to join our client's innovative team on a contract basis. This role focuses on enhancing product quality and performance in the medical technology field. You will work closely with various teams to optimize processes and support product development.

Responsibilities:

• Learn about current products, including their design and how they are made.
• Work with teams to improve products and processes.
• Help with projects involving suppliers and technical changes.
• Manage parts of larger projects and guide less experienced team members.
• Support regulatory submissions and lead product testing for quality assurance.
• Investigate product issues and analyze returned items.
• Assist in addressing quality and compliance issues.
• Evaluate changes in processes, materials, and suppliers.
• Support changes in product labeling and assist sales and marketing teams.
• Develop project plans and work with external partners to achieve goals.
• Identify and manage risks throughout the product lifecycle.
• Create necessary documentation and training materials.
• Develop marketing content like presentations and videos.

Key Skills and Requirements:

• Experience in designing and developing medical devices.
• Ability to manage projects effectively.
• Strong design and technical skills based on engineering principles.
