Hobson Prior is seeking a QC Laboratory Manager for a role in the pharmaceutical chemistry field. You will be responsible for overseeing laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and leading a team to achieve strategic goals. This position requires strong leadership and organizational skills to support the growth and efficiency of the laboratory.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement testing processes and infrastructure.
• Lead the design and setup of the laboratory and manage the team.
• Oversee changes in methods and specifications.
• Manage investigations and technical transfer programs.
• Coordinate with contract laboratories for testing.
• Communicate with regulatory departments and authorities.
• Collaborate with various departments to ensure smooth operations and compliance.
• Foster leadership development within the quality control team.
• Support the expansion of laboratory capabilities and quality control operations.
• Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency and develop performance indicators.

Key Skills and Requirements:

• Degree in chemistry.
• Experience in a pharmaceutical laboratory environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to coach and develop team members.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Experience in conducting internal audits.
• Eligibility to work in Ireland.
