Hobson Prior is seeking a Production Scheduler for a contract role based in Cork. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and directing the planning and execution of biotech production. This includes creating detailed daily schedules from the master production schedule and project plans. The role also involves scenario modeling and facilitating production schedule business decisions. The candidate will work closely with other teams to ensure the plan is followed and to drive continuous improvement in planning and communication.

Key Responsibilities
- Transform the Master Production Schedule into detailed daily production schedules.
- Adjust production schedules based on operational demands and available capacity.
- Help develop medium-term plans for scenario analysis and production schedule business decisions.
- Support the operations team with all planning-related aspects.
- Coordinate operations activities and respond to changes in demand.
- Act as the main contact for gathering critical planning information from all functional areas.
- Foster an environment that encourages planning improvements and ensures alignment with site strategies.
- Facilitate daily operations team meetings and weekly supply review meetings.
- Conduct monthly resource forecasting with Operations Team Leads.
- Communicate the production plan across operations areas, identifying and resolving any production or material constraints.
- Respond to changes in demand/schedule by analyzing updated plans and highlighting areas of risk to the operations manager.
- Collect and share data required for monthly reporting.
- Generate and present daily, weekly, and monthly reports and metrics as necessary.
Requirements
- Excellent understanding of operations scheduling processes.
- Ability to collect, analyze, summarize, and report on data related to production activities.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to operate in a highly collaborative manner within a cross-functional organization.
- Demonstrates flexibility and effective response to changing priorities.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Customer-focused.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively and efficiently.
- Third-level qualification, preferably in a science-related field.
- Experience in (bio) pharmaceutical manufacturing.
- Relevant qualification in Supply Chain Management (e.g., APICS, IIPMM) advantageous.
- Lean/Continuous Improvement qualifications advantageous.
