Hobson Prior are currently looking for a Director of Biostatistics (USA) to join a fantastic biotech organisation on a permanent basis. Our client is focused on developing innovative therapeutics for various illnesses.

Key Responsibilities:

• The primary role of the 'Director' is to take leadership of all statistical aspects of projects within the company's Immunology and Oncology divisions.
• Act as the primary point of contact for all projects ensuring the timely delivery of project deliverables across the Phase II and Phase III studies.
• Support the strategic growth of the Biostatistics team including interviewing and hiring 2 direct reports who, in turn, will manage the day-to-day activities of the projects.
• Lead the ongoing process improvement by suggesting, evaluating and supporting the implementation of novel statistical strategies and methods, collaborating with external vendors, Consultants, third parties and Scientists to find opportunities for innovation within the company's R&D group.
• Be visible to regulatory bodies and external stakeholders in order to advice and defend the chosen actions, statistical methods and results of projects within your therapeutic division.
• Any other assigned duties.

Requirements:

• PhD or MS in Statistics, Biostatistics, Mathematics or similar discipline.
• Experience as a 'Lead Statistician' or as 'Project Statistician' for Immunology or Oncology studies - including trial design within these Therapeutic Areas.
• Experience as the point of contact for external vendors and CROs.
