Hobson Prior is seeking an Associate Principal Scientist to join the Bioscience team. This role is part of a dynamic group focused on developing new treatments for kidney diseases. The successful candidate will work with pre-clinical models and various drug types to support the renal research pipeline.

Responsibilities:

• Design and conduct experiments using animal models to study kidney diseases.
• Develop and apply new methods relevant to kidney research.
• Analyse samples to measure biomarkers.
• Interpret and present research findings.
• Represent the Bioscience team in project meetings.
• Propose and develop new research ideas.
• Prepare and deliver reports and presentations.
• Ensure all work follows safety and quality standards.

Key Skills and Requirements:

• Advanced degree in biology, physiology, pathology, medicine, or related fields.
• Practical experience with animal research, especially in kidney studies.
• Certification for conducting animal research.
• Strong record of published research.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to new challenges.
• Experience in collaborating with research organizations.
• Knowledge of kidney function and disease.
• Background in the pharmaceutical industry is a plus.
