Hobson Prior is seeking a Senior Scientist to join a dedicated team. This role focuses on using advanced techniques, particularly Surface Plasmon Resonance to study molecular interactions. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and optimizing assays, conducting experiments, and analysing data to support our research efforts.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement advanced SPR assays tailored to specific research needs.
• Conduct experiments to understand binding kinetics, affinity, and thermodynamics.
• Ensure accurate and precise data collection and reporting.
• Analyse SPR data and integrate findings with other research data.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to contribute to broader research objectives.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in SPR and biophysics to enhance research capabilities.

Key Skills & Requirements:

• A higher education qualification in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a closely related discipline.
• Expertise in using surface-based biosensor technologies (e.g., Biacore, Nicoya, Octet, WAVEsystem).
• Experience in creating, troubleshooting, and refining biosensor assays.
• Knowledge of supplementary biophysical techniques such as ITC, MST, or DSF.
• Extensive experience in protein production and purification.
• Demonstrated history of scientific publications and/or presentations at conferences.
