Hobson Prior is collaborating with a dynamic CRO who are seeking a dedicated Project Manager to join their team in Tokyo, Japan. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of client projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and according to the agreed-upon scope of work. You will act as the bridge between clients, internal teams, and partners to manage the operational execution of projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the operational interface between the client and the company for project/service solutions.
  • Manage moderate to complex programs and projects, including tasks for solution planning, analysis, configuration, and execution.
  • Facilitate the implementation of business and system process best practices.
  • Manage relationships with business and executive stakeholders, both internal and external.
  • Create strategies for contingency planning and risk mitigation.
  • Plan and schedule project goals, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Create and manage project plans and timelines.
  • Define project schedules, allocate resources, and monitor progress.
  • Align project objectives with company goals and ensure the project team is clear on objectives.
  • Lead the process of issue identification and resolution.
  • Monitor and manage the scope of the project.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Key Skills & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • PMP Certification desired.
  • Experience in managing all stages of the project life cycle.
  • Supervisory experience is a plus.
  • Fluency in English and Japanese required; additional language skills are a plus.
  • Strong financial management and forecasting skills.
  • Proficiency with project management software tools and techniques.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to manage, motivate, and integrate a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead through influencing and negotiating.
  • Strong facilitation and coordination skills.
  • Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
