Hobson Prior is seeking a Business Development Manager to help grow our business in the Sales and Business Development sector. This role will focus on identifying and developing new business opportunities, coordinating proposals and contracts, and maintaining relationships with current and past clients. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, have excellent communication skills, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Help grow our business by identifying and developing new opportunities.
- Understand our range of services and focus on promoting them to potential clients.
- Schedule and participate in meetings with new clients and our senior team.
- Work with our marketing team to leverage marketing campaigns and follow up with new client requests.
- Keep track of current and past clients, including follow-up, deadlines, and metrics.
- Assist with the quality control and review process for new business proposals and presentations.
- Keep our client relationship management (CRM) system up to date.
- Participate in internal and client meetings as required.
- Manage and resolve conflicting priorities to deliver on commitments.
Requirements
- A degree in Business or Sciences is preferred.
- Experience in clinical research, preferably in a Clinical Research Organization (CRO), biotech, pharma, or medical device company.
- Ability to travel.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to solve unstructured or ambiguous challenges.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service orientation.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
- Self-starter who thrives in a collaborative, yet less structured team environment.
- Outgoing and personable nature with the ability to quickly engage with potential clients and form relationships with new people.
- Previous experience using a CRM system is preferred.
