Hobson Prior is seeking a Black Utilities Project Engineer to join our team. This role involves managing all aspects of Black Utilities, including design, installation, and validation of various projects, primarily for central utilities. You will be responsible for developing the design of project utilities and making necessary changes to existing systems. You will also support project teams during the concept, design, procurement, start-up, and qualification stages of Black Utilities Systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop design in collaboration with project team members and local Engineering.
  • Support the company for bid packages and participate in vendor selection to ensure design and project requirements.
  • Monitor equipment construction and participate in execution.
  • Ensure optimal flow of technical information with project teams and local Engineering.
  • Support the team to develop qualifications strategy and documents. Be part of the execution to identify corrective actions and close punch list according to initial design requirements.
  • Support project control team for schedule and cost control.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety policies, rules, and regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or equivalent experience in project technical management or operations in international environments.
  • Experience in project engineering, project management, and/or operations for chemical, biochemical, pharmaceutical industries, facility layout, and optimization.
  • Knowledge of current and future technology in the field of Utilities, associated automation, operation, and maintenance.
  • Experience in cGMP regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience in managing cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English and German.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated and dedicated to focus and deliver.
