Hobson Prior is working alongside a medical devices company seeking a driven Associate Director to join the Research Team within the Data Science Group. You will play a key role in leading research projects, guiding a team of data scientists, and working with various teams to enhance our genetic testing solutions.

Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of data scientists and researchers.
- Oversee the design, execution, and analysis of research projects.
- Manage multiple research projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with different departments to integrate research findings into products.
- Stay updated on the latest developments in data science and genetics.
- Present research findings to stakeholders and prepare scientific publications and reports.
Key Skills and Requirements:
- Advanced degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Bioinformatics, or Engineering.
- Strong background in machine learning, data science, and statistical modelling.
- Experience with large-scale data and cloud-based environments.
- Proficiency in Python and open-source machine learning libraries.
- Understanding of genetic data and bioinformatics pipelines.
- Proven leadership skills and experience managing research teams.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
