Hobson Prior is collaborating with a consultancy who are seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to join our client's team in Allschwil, Switzerland. This role involves working closely with another QA Manager to support ongoing projects, ensuring the quality and compliance of pharmaceutical products. The position requires a strong background in organic chemistry and regulatory experience, with flexibility for occasional travel.

Responsibilities:

• Provide quality assurance expertise during product development and commercialization.
• Ensure all quality activities are completed according to the development stage.
• Ensure products meet quality standards throughout their lifecycle.
• Address and resolve complaints, testing issues, and discrepancies.
• Implement quality risk management approaches.
• Support the release of active ingredients and products, including documentation review.
• Notify teams of potential quality and regulatory issues.
• Participate in and defend quality activities in team meetings.
• Conduct GMP/GDP audits at third-party sites.
• Prepare and review GMP/GDP agreements and internal SOPs.
• Optimize the pharmaceutical quality system.
• Provide coaching to junior QA managers.
• Release drug substances and products as per SOPs.

Key Skills and Requirements:

• University degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, or a related field.
• Experience in pharmaceutical product development, quality control, or chemical production.
• Experience in quality assurance for drug substances and products.
• Knowledge of drug development, manufacturing, and quality control processes.
• Understanding of GMP/GDP standards.
• Ability to manage complex projects and prioritize tasks.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of French, Italian, or German is an advantage.
• Onsite presence required 3-4 days a week with flexibility for travel.
